5 Cents

On Wednesday this week the students took part in the grand weigh-in for our 5¢ Coin Competition. Each class took their coins to the pizza oven to be weighed by volunteers. The children had fun and were impeccably behaved.

In total they collected an amazing 151.314kg of coins which raised funds totalling $2,870.60. The three classes with the most coins were;

  • 1st place - 2C - 15.490kg
  • 2nd place - 4M - 9.699kg
  • 3rd place - 1L - 9.684kg

Congratulations to class 2C who will enjoy a pizza party held in the last week of term provided by the P&C using some of the fresh produce from the Kitchen Garden and cooked in the school's pizza oven.

Thank You

Thank you to all the families that took part, this was an amazing achievement. The funds raised will go towards upgrading the kids' toilets. We deposited a trolley full of coins at the bank and should apologise to the CBA for breaking their coin machine!
